DARS provides both strategic and tactical legal counsel to the board of directors in operating the business of the association, ensuring at all times that they are compliant with applicable federal, state and local laws. Our team of experienced attorneys helps association clients conduct effective meetings; oversee board elections; interpret and draft amendments to the association’s governing documents; draft employment policies and contracts; and address insurance matters and disputes. We frequently review, draft and negotiate contracts with third parties, including vendors and management companies. Finally, with the assistance of attorneys in our Banking & Financial Institutions practice group, we help guide clients through the often arduous process of applying for, and obtaining, a loan for working, capital improvements or some other purpose.
