Verena Meiser
Verena Meiser brings a wealth of experience and tax law knowledge to the estate planning, non-profit organizations, and probate & trust administration practice groups.
Verena is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section on Real Property, Trust and Estate Law, the Howard County Bar Association, and of the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association. She serves on the Board of Directors of FIRN, Inc., a local nonprofit organization that ensures equal access to community resources and opportunities to the foreign-born community of Howard County and the central Maryland area.
Previously, as a legal practitioner in Tennessee, Verena provided legal representation to clients in estate planning, probate, and real estate matters, advised several non-profit organizations, provided mediation services, and served as Guardian-ad-Litem for juveniles. For several years, Verena conducted research on trust law issues as an assistant to the Successor Author of Bogert & Hess, “The Law of Trusts and Trustees.” Verena was educated at several distinctive universities and was a member of the editorial staff of the Law Review at the University of Tennessee School of Law.
She is fluent in German and Spanish, and enjoyed the study of French, Russian, Turkish and Arabic.
